I support IBCF because I want to provide the students of ISBVI every opportunity to fulfill their goals for the future. #NoLimits
The Indiana Blind Children's Foundation (IBCF) is a critical resource for the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI), filling in state budgetary gaps and supporting students and families through innovative programming and wraparound supports. IBCF has played an active role in the education of youth who are blind or have low vision for decades, and as the school enters its next chapter in 2024, IBCF is heavily focused on ensuring that the school's temporary location has all the "comforts of home" for its students, families, and staff. Over the next few years, IBCF will work alongside numerous community partners to build the first adaptive culinary classroom and culinary arts program for youth with vision impairments in the state, support the new Indiana University Low Vision Eye Clinic at ISBVI with low vision assistive devices, and launch a statewide gaps analysis survey to better understand the needs of 1400 families impacted by vision impairments.
As the Secretary of the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation, I ask you to join me in financially supporting this organization whose decades long commitment to youth who are blind or have low vision and collaborative partnerships can continue to nourish students and families with love, security, programming, and connections throughout this journey as we make our way back home.
Thank you!
