Every Young Person Deserves to Be Seen, Supported, and Given a Path Forward.

Help young people experiencing homelessness in Chicago find safety, stability, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

On a freezing Chicago night, Amaya rode a bus to its final stop because she had nowhere safe to sleep.

After losing her family's apartment, she moved between friends' and relatives' couches, struggling to stay safe and falling behind in school. Then, near a South Side transit stop, she connected with Ignite's Mobile Outreach Unit.

That connection changed her path.

With safe housing, educational support, and someone who believed in her, Amaya returned to school, caught up on assignments, and began planning for her future.

Today, she's on track to graduate next spring and serves as secretary of her school's photography club.

"I used to feel like nobody saw me. Now I feel like people see what I can do." — Amaya

But Amaya isn't alone.

More than 12,300 young people across Chicago face housing instability. At Ignite, we believe they deserve more than a way out of crisis. They deserve safe housing, supportive relationships, education, employment opportunities, and the chance to determine what comes next.

This year, our goal is to raise $550,000 from individual donors to support young people experiencing homelessness.

Your generosity helps make this work possible.

Make your year-end gift today and help a young person like Amaya move toward a future filled with possibility.
