Janmashtami 2023

Krishna appeared in Mathura, on the eighth day of the waning moon (Krishna paksha, Ashtami tithi) in the month of Shravana, as the eighth son of Vasudeva and Devaki. This day is celebrated as Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Many thousands of pilgrims will be visiting Sri Sri Radha Damodara Mandir to have a darshan of Sri Sri Radha Damodara and Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga and to partake in the midnight Maha abhisheka. The celebration is for 2days, the Janmashtami festival and Nandostava on the day after Janmashtami.
