Support Illuminate Atlanta

My name is Sara Keith, I’m the Director of and co-founder of the photography non-profit, Illuminate Atlanta. Illuminate Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to increase accessibility to photographic education and the arts by providing photography education and opportunities to under-served communities in the metro Atlanta area.

We have been so proud of our work with our program partners including:

• CHRIS180; providing cameras and career opportunities to teens affected by homelessness
• Cool Girls Inc.; providing cameras and lessons based around STEAM education for young girls
• Hillside, Inc; lessons centered around building self confidence for student affected by severe depression

All of our students not only develop a new skill, but have access to an art form that can burgeon new career opportunities, but more importantly, give young people an outlet to creative expression that they can access any time, on their own, an art from they can claim as their own, something we’ve found to be more important than ever for young people.

We have so many exciting programs coming up this year, including collaborations with Soccer in the Streets, Actor’s Express and the Alliance Theatre. But we need your help!
