Thank you for your generous contribution to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Kansas. With your support, we are able to ensure that children across Kansas receive the gift of one free book per month, mailed directly to their home. Dollywood Foundation selects high quality children’s literature, works with the publishing house and operates the fulfillment center, while our state program covers the cost of printing and postage for the books mailed to the children enrolled in Kansas.

Your contribution helps ensure we can honor her legacy by continuing to offer the program to Kansas families.

Dolly started this program as a tribute to her own father, who could not read. She described him as the smartest man she ever knew and she wanted to help ensure that every child was given the opportunity her father never had. We were honored to have Dolly visit Kansas in 2023 to celebrate the statewide expansion of this beloved program. At that time, we learned that Pratt, Kansas was the first place outside of Tennessee to start a Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. What a legacy!
