Based in Prince George’s County, Maryland, IMPACTdmv supports the personal and professional development of underserved minority youth and young adults in the DC metropolitan community. With a special focus on high school seniors, we prioritize pathways to economic freedom through 4 core components: College Preparation, Career Readiness, Financial Literacy, and Leadership Development. This layered approach supports participants from college preparation through graduation and into their early career.

Our flagship program — IMPACT Your Acceptance (IYA) — helps youth and their families become knowledgeable about the college application process and provides them with a suite of resources to ensure they achieve their goal of college acceptance and completion of a degree. IYA Scholars have recieved over $20M in scholarships and over 650 college acceptances to the nation's top universities. IYA instills confidence in the minority, working-class students it serves, helping them become fully college-ready as they approach high school graduation.

The IYA program increases the odds of students being accepted to their target university programs and helps them to secure enough funding to complete their studies. The goal is to help youth conquer the battle of being accepted into college and to win the war of completing higher education. IYA does this by securing funds for tuition and living expenses and providing mentorship and support networks that ensure they stay on track and follow through.
