A New Adventure!
At the beginning of yet another year, I’m excited for the traveling adventures that lie ahead. After our return from our extended visits to Florida and Guatemala to visit our daughters, Danielle and Caitlin, God will be taking me on another adventure with Crown of Beauty International (COBI). This will be my second trip since joining COBI part-time in January 2023. I love the mission of COBI as we partner with churches and organizations around the world to bring God’s truths to precious people in impoverished communities, many who are women – marginalized by their culture and, in some cases, physically and sexually abused. Our COBI teams are sent out to share the truth of our position in Christ as beloved, redeemed and welcomed into God’s family. This message, which runs contrary to their life experiences, is often received with tears and shouts of praise as they learn that God sees them, receives them, and knows them by name. As women receive God’s unconditional and unfailing love, their lives are transformed. What a privilege to lift people up with biblical truths and spur them on to live their God-given potential!
How can you help?
The three-week COBI trip will take me to India and Bangladesh, where we will be among two of the most unreached people groups, Muslims and Hindus. My utmost priority is to build a prayer team of family and friends here so the Spirit can do what only He can do through me there. Please send me a text or email if you're able to pray for me throughout the trip. I’ll send out an update with those prayer requests as we get closer to departure.
For those who can, would you also consider giving to help offset my travel costs (est. $2800) or to support the work we will be doing on the ground? I appreciate your consideration of supporting the work God will be doing through our team.
So, how did I get here?
Over the past ten years, God has deepened the love in my heart for the nations. I was on a local prayer team for a populated Hindu area where we did regular prayer walks for that community. After the fall of Afghanistan, God opened my world to befriending Afghan refugees and learning more about the Muslim faith. Last summer, I began serving on the Missions Leadership Team at my home church that is focused on reaching Muslim and Hindu groups. In 2023 and 2024, I was working part-time doing admin work for projects focused on Bible translation for people groups without God’s Word in their native tongue. With COBI, I’ve been moved by the needs of those living in impoverished areas, who express a heartfelt desire to know God and live out their potential for His Kingdom. The Lord keeps impressing upon me His desire for all people of every race and tribe to know Him.
It's God's heart to reach the nations. Will you join us as we seek to do our small part of bringing the good news to the ends of the earth?
Thank you!
