Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel (IBSI) seeks to educate Africans and Black Americans on the history and importance of the Israel-Africa and Black-Jewish relationships. To do this, IBSI hosts public forums, participates in public speaking events, produces digital and print media, provides educational content, and maintains a vibrant social media presence. In addition, IBSI has established an initiative called Plan for Education, Advocacy & Community Engagement (PEACE) which is designed to teach young, influential Africans and Black Americans (IBSI Ambassadors) about the crucial Israel-Africa/Black-Jewish relationship. At the conclusion of the PEACE Initiative, IBSI Ambassadors will develop local centers for community engagement called Tesfa-the Amharic word for Hope.
