Intersection 540 was created so that marginalized communities can find each other and be social in a safer space. What we are discovering is just how much this is needed. Whether it was a well curated speed friendship event, an informal dance party, or a book club where we can talk about something deeper than what we did last weekend, our feedback time and time again has "Thank you so much. we NEEDED this"

and now its time to start building for the main event.

Intersection 540: Diversity Center.

We want an open concept house that is within walking distance of Washington and Lee University. We want this space to house our book clubs, peer support groups, karaoke nights and dance parties. but we also want it to be cozy enough to host late night social events. Sometimes it can be where students can come to study and residents can come to relax. Other times it can be a space for people coming out the bars who aren't quite ready to go home yet and could use a coffee and some French fries. It could also function as a place visitors can come and get intel on what they should see in the Rockbridge County area.

Because after all , There is Always Something Happening At Intersection 540
