This Intro to Outdoor Climbing clinic is designed not just to teach skills—but to help you step into climbing as an active participant. That means learning how to assess routes, communicate clearly with partners, practice good crag citizenship, and understand the systems that keep everyone safe.

One of the most empowering shifts we see is when climbers realize they can contribute meaningfully to their group—not just follow along. Whether that’s speaking up about risk management, helping make decisions at the crag, or learning how to clean anchors, these are the skills that open the door to real independence outside.

We intentionally separate this experience from leading clinics, so you can build a strong foundation first—one rooted in confidence, awareness, and partnership.

Learning Outcomes

Choose appropriate outdoor routes
Climb and move efficiently on toprope
Belay safely and attentively outside
Clean single-pitch anchors
Assess and manage risk
Practice Leave No Trace and good crag etiquette
Contribute confidently within a climbing partnership

Progression Packages

She Sends Progression Packages are designed to help climbers continue building confidence, skills, and independence beyond the clinic environment.

Many climbers leave a clinic feeling inspired and excited, but unsure how to continue practicing safely and effectively on their own. Our Progression Packages bridge that gap by pairing your clinic experience with guided mentorship days focused on continued learning, repetition, and personalized coaching.

These follow-up sessions allow climbers to reinforce the skills introduced during the clinic while working toward their individual climbing goals with professional support. Whether you're learning to place gear, build anchors, lead trad routes, improve multipitch efficiency, gain confidence leading sport routes, or simply spend more time developing outdoor climbing systems, progression happens through intentional practice and mentorship.

Progression Packages are offered at a discounted rate when bundled with your clinic registration and can be customized to your experience level, goals, and schedule. Whenever possible, participants will continue working with the same guide from their clinic to support consistency, trust, and long-term progression.

Location

This clinic will take place at a sport climbing area in Jefferson County or Boulder County, Colorado.
Final location details will be sent via email from your guide approximately 1–2 weeks before the clinic.

Locations are selected based on weather, conditions, and the needs of the group.
