The technique Fine Art Foiling was developed right here at the University of Iowa by Professor Virginia A. Myers. The Iowa Print Foiler was developed by Virginia and Iowa City engineer Daniel L. Wenman. Some call it a hot plate with a heated top roller to bond the foil to polymer on paper. Either way it is unique to the craft of Fine Art Foiling. The ArtiFactory owns one Iowa Foil Printer.
