Children and communities have never needed Scouting more than today. The program's values of leadership and service are critical to overcoming the challenges we face as a nation and across the world.

Although Scouting activities are filled with fun and adventure, they also fill an unmet need for young people to experience working as a team while also practicing the leadership skills of empathy, accountability, and responsibility.

The Capitol Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, began in 1912 and has grown over time to support Scouting programs in 15 Central Texas counties: Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, DeWitt, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Hays, Lavaca, Lee, Llano, Mason, Travis and Williamson.

We partner with schools, PTAs/PTOs, service clubs, local agencies, and more to offer programs in your area for girls and boys ages 6-20 that have been proven to foster and strengthen self-confidence, ethics, respect for others, academic skills, and leadership abilities that stay with them their entire lives.
