Walnut survived the ride. Now he needs you — and he won't be the last.

Yesterday, tiny Walnut rode through town tucked inside a car engine. This morning, our vet gave him a clean bill of health. He's currently in the CLAWS nursery — which is to say, our living room — on a bottle and blissfully unaware of his own legend.

He's one of four kittens in our care right now, along with Karen, Spot, and Tig.

Here's the honest truth: CLAWS was built to do TNR — trap, neuter, return — and to support the community cats and caregivers that most people never see. Our current funding is designated for that work. It doesn't cover bottle babies, emergency vet visits, or the mountain of foster supplies that comes with a living room full of kittens.

We weren't designed to be a rescue. But who can say no to those little faces?
