The Hanson House Foundation helps Coachella Valley residents with a "home away from home" for their visiting family members because they’re dealing with critical care at Desert Regional Hospital. We also serve the needs of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment, parents of newborn babies critically ill in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), military families from the Marine base at Twenty Nine Palms, and families of First Responders.
Visiting families can stay close to their loved ones without worrying about high food costs because they have access to our complimentary pantry stocked mostly by donations. Many guests spend long hours at the hospital so they enjoy cooking healthy meals onsite. Both original stoves are almost 20 years old so they can no longer get serviced and need replacing.
Our mission is to reduce the stress and cost of families coming into town because of critical care. Hanson House is possible because of funding from local individuals, organizations, and businesses. Thank you for your consideration!
