Through classroom visits, read-alouds, and diverse book donations, we bring positive messaging and relatable characters to youth.

Your donation will make a difference in a young life! Every $10 inspires a young person with a new book to call their own and helps to unveil their potential.

Here’s how your contribution can make an impact:

$10 Donation: Provides a child with a diverse book, fostering a love for reading and broadening their horizons.
$25 Donation: Supplies a child with two diverse books and an activity book, setting them up for success and stimulating their creativity.
$50 Donation: Funds five children with a diverse book each, giving them the support they need to excel academically.
$100 Donation: Provides ten children with a diverse book through our summer reading program, keeping their minds engaged and curious during the break.
$250 Donation: Supports an entire classroom with a set of culturally diverse books, promoting inclusivity and understanding among students.
$500 Donation: Equips two classrooms with sets of culturally diverse books, doubling the impact and reaching more children.
$1,000 Donation: Provides four classrooms with sets of culturally diverse books, enriching the learning environment for many young readers.
$2,500 Donation: Funds a school-wide literacy event, inspiring hundreds of children to become avid readers and lifelong learners.
$5,000 Donation: Sponsors our monthly community event, "Leaders are Readers," bringing together children, parents, and educators to celebrate the joy of reading and leadership.

Black Philanthropy Month's theme in 2025 is “Sankofa Now! Remember. Reclaim. Rise.” Black Philanthropy Month (BPM), celebrated every August, highlights the importance of African descent in philanthropy. The theme for 2025, “Sankofa Now! Remember. Reclaim. Rise." envisions a future where African-descended communities leverage their unique cultural perspectives and traditions in philanthropy to address global challenges. This theme encourages innovative, inclusive, and forward-thinking approaches to giving, emphasizing the transformative power of African heritage in shaping equitable and sustainable futures.

Each donation during Black Philanthropy Month goes beyond financial considerations. It speaks to the value you place on racial, social, economic, gender, and environmental justice as well. It is a way of saying universal human rights matter.
