Every year, Jericho Project hosts an annual city-wide day of volunteer service - “Day Of Action” - to support our mission to end homelessness. It’s a day when our corporate and community partners come to together to support Jericho and the clients, we serve by contributing their time and talent.
For Day of Action 2024, groups of corporate volunteers will simultaneously complete projects to raise awareness and directly impact Jericho clients, including veterans, families and young adults. The projects will take place either at the respective company’s location or on-site at one of Jericho’s NYC program/housing locations. The goal is to call to action over 150 change-making volunteers to take a stand against homelessness and raise awareness about the need to tackle this ever-growing issue at its roots.
Day of Action volunteer projects can include (but not limited to):
• Holiday toy drive/ Food drive
• Clothing drive (professional attire/ cold weather accessories)
• Building Clean-Up (i.e. painting)
• Assembling and distributing holiday dinner care packages
• Assembling and distributing hygiene and/or toiletry care packages
• Health & Wellness flu shot drive
