Hi, my name is Daverney Freeman, and I am proud to be leading this year’s Holiday Joy Toy Giveaway. This event is more than just a toy distribution; it’s about creating magical moments for children and families in our community.

On December 21, 2024, we’ll gather at the Clayton County Public Library Headquarters (835 Battle Creek Rd, Jonesboro, GA) to ensure that hundreds of children experience the joy of the holiday season. With your help, we aim to bring smiles to over 500 children by providing gifts and a festive celebration that they’ll never forget.

Last year, I was moved by the story of a little girl named Layla, who hugged her new doll with tears of happiness. Her mother confided in me that, without this event, Christmas would have looked very different for their family. That moment reaffirmed the importance of what we’re doing—and why we need your support.

This year, we’ve set an ambitious goal of $10,000, which will fund:

Toys for children of all ages
Supplies for event activities like photos with Santa, crafts, and snacks
Logistics costs to make the day special

Here’s how you can help:

$25: Provides a toy for one child.
$50: Covers toys for two children.
$100: Sponsors a toy package for a family of four.
$250 or more: Helps fund event activities and decorations.
