2025 Summer Dreams Campership & Equipment Drive

THIS SUMMER, HELP MAKE A CHILD’S DREAM COME TRUE!

Your support to the Summer Dreams Campership and Equipment Drive directly impacts campers through two key initiatives. The Cook/Piraino Matching Campership Challenge ensures that every dollar you give is matched dollar-for-dollar, effectively doubling your contribution and expanding access to camp for children in need. This initiative not only provides scholarships but also ensures that all campers have the proper gear for both on-camp activities and wilderness adventures. Every donation, no matter the amount, plays a vital role in creating life-changing camp experiences, and thanks to generous matching funds, your impact will go even further—up to $60,000 in matching contributions.

In addition to camperships, the Special Equipment Fund helps us maintain and expand our inventory of high-quality gear, enriching the outdoor experience for all campers. Your contributions support the purchase of essential equipment like sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboards while also ensuring that campership recipients have the personal gear they need for their trips. By investing in this fund, you’re not only enhancing the camp experience but also upholding our mission to provide transformative outdoor adventures for every child, regardless of their financial circumstances.

In 2024, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, 130 resident campers and 7 day campers received financial assistance, with a total of $245,033 distributed in campership funds. These contributions made it possible for children from all backgrounds to experience the adventure, personal growth, and lifelong friendships that camp provides.

The official campaign runs from April 22 (Earth Day) to August 31 each year, but donations to the Campership Program are welcome year-round. You can also support this initiative by participating in the Staff Auction or taking on the 50 Miles in 5 Days Isle Royale Challenge. Every donation, big or small, helps ensure that more children can experience the magic of camp.

2025 Goal for the Summer Dreams Campership and Equipment campaign is $250,000 with a goal of $15,000 for the staff auction and $15,000 for the 50 miles in 50 days initative.
