As a four year old, in 1963 my mother, then Helen Wright Jackson, a member of the Miami Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. worked hard to raise money for scholarships to help high students fulfill their dreams to attend college. Mama's labor was not in vain.
Because of her efforts, I was blessed to be crowned Little Miss Jabberwock Princess, and deserving students received money to help them bring life to their dream to go to college.
