For nearly a century, Jabberwock has been a cherished tradition within Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., uplifting young women through scholarship, empowerment, and cultural enrichment. Originally conceptualized in 1925 by Soror Marion Hope Conover of the Iota Chapter in Boston, Massachusetts, Jabberwock began as a creative showcase designed to raise funds for academic scholarships. What started as a musical variety show of skits, dances, and competitions has since evolved into a dynamic program fostering leadership, personal growth, and scholarship opportunities for young women.

As we embark on Jabberwock 2025: Becoming, the Tampa Alumnae Chapter proudly carries forward this legacy of excellence, service, and sisterhood. This year’s theme, Becoming, is a tribute to the journey of self-discovery, confidence, and transformation that each participant will experience. Through a curated series of cultural, educational, and social development activities, participants will engage in experiences that expand their aspirations, strengthen their self-worth, and prepare them for future success.

The program will culminate in an elegant celebration, where one outstanding young woman will be crowned Miss Jabberwock 2025. More importantly, every participant will walk away enriched by the experience, empowered by the journey, and supported by the scholarships made possible through this initiative.
