Hope After Trauma

Jacaranda Communities of Hope aims to bring hope to places where there is little hope, demonstrating God’s love for children.

The two week training program teaches adults about trauma and the effects it has on children, and then they learn some new skills to use with children to help them in their healing process, including storytelling using Bible stories as well as healing play.

In the first week, the adults learn the theory and practise their new skills.

The second week is the healing play camp, which is a chance for the adults to use what they learnt to bring healing to 50 local children.

After the training, they continue to use their skills within their families and communities.

Equip Mozambique is a Christian nonprofit operating in Beira, Mozambique, and has partnered with Jacaranda Communities of Hope for this fundraiser. All funds raised here will go to the child trauma training program.
