Our Ape-ology workshops offer members, supporters, and friends a wonderful opportunity to deepen their knowledge of great apes and learn more about the residents of our sanctuary. These workshops also provide a special chance to visit the sanctuary in a more intimate setting.

Each workshop is divided into two parts:

Classroom Session: Learn about the month’s topic through engaging presentations, videos, and insights from guest speakers who are experts in their fields.
"In the Field" Tour: Explore the sanctuary grounds with a guided tour focused on a specific area related to the topic. Past workshops have included tours of our veterinary clinic, live husbandry training sessions, ape birthday celebrations, and exclusive one-on-one visits with the dedicated caregivers who know our great ape residents best.

Class Size: Limited to 20 people per session, so be sure to register early!
Cost: $60 per person
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM on select dates
Minimum Age: 15 years
