Floods, hurricanes, tornados, and many other circumstances can lead someone to homelessness. Sometimes it’s as simple as a couple of poor decisions or a relationship gone bad. It might even be mental health issues, addiction, alcoholism, or any number of “life-controlling” issues.

The one thing all of these have in common is that it ends with people who are homeless, hurting, heart-broken, and feeling helpless! For over 75 years the Lord has used the Union Gospel Mission in helping those who find themselves, for whatever reason, in this position. However, we have not, cannot, and will not do it by ourselves. It is only through your generosity, and the generosity of others like you, that we can make an impact on people in need!

Sometimes that impact is as temporary as a good meal or cold bottle of water. Sometimes the impact is life-changing for those who find sobriety, purpose, and/or a new life in Christ! Regardless, the impact we can make in each of these lives is real. Recently, I received a text from a former client that included 10 things he was thankful for, they ranged from “sobriety” to a “new job” to “God’s Grace”, and several others.

This is why we do what we do! We need your help to continue “Meeting Needs, Making Change, and Magnifying Christ!” Your support makes a difference.
