Hi! My name is Kate! I am the founder of The Abana Foundation. It started when I was only 15 years old and I honestly had NO IDEA that one day we would be talking about building a medical center or feeding 880 students in Rwanda. I am humbled and blessed to be surrounded by so many awesome kids (and adults) who have shared my vision of Kids FORE Kids. I am thankful to God for the friendships I have made in both in the U.S. and in Rwanda.
This work in Rwanda has impacted my life in a very profound way. I believe it has shaped who I am as a person. Over the years, our annual ADFA Summer Event has turned into people doing whatever they love to do to make a difference. It is fun seeing how many kids in the U.S. have been impacted by thinking outside of themselves and working to help others halfway across the world.
The mission of The Abana Foundation is to empower kids to FEED, TEACH, and GIVE HOPE to the people of Rwanda. Even though our Summer Event will look much different than previous years, we still need to feed our friends in Kibeho! Please consider being apart of this fun day. I can tell you confidently that your participation and donations will TRULY MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Only $25 feeds ONE CHILD, ONCE A WEEK, FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR!!
