EUGENE MARATHON: RUN FOR A REASON

I’m running this marathon because every mile has a meaning, and every step is for a child who deserves the chance to learn, grow, and feel fully included. Circle of Friends creates those opportunities for students with disabilities, giving them adaptive equipment, individualized support, medically informed care, and the kind of encouragement that allows them to step into their day with confidence. These students may not be lining up at the start line with me, but they are showing courage every single day. They’re moving forward in ways that don’t always get celebrated , mastering new skills, expressing themselves, discovering independence, and building a sense of belonging in classrooms designed around who they are. Their resilience is what inspires me. If they can push through challenges with such strength, I can push through 26.2 miles for them. By joining the Run for a Reason program, I’ve committed to raising a minimum amount, not just to earn a race entry, but to ensure that real support reaches students and families who rely on Circle of Friends. Every dollar goes directly toward making inclusive education possible. Your support doesn’t just help me run a marathon.
