Get ready for a super-duper, fantastically fun adventure at the library! From August 1st to September 17th, we're turning our mini-readers into mini-philanthropists and future voters with our amazing Jingle Cash Donation event!
Imagine this: kids from all over town will be jingling their way through the community, collecting cash from family, friends, and anyone with spare change in their pockets or couch cushions. But here's the twist – they're not keeping the loot for themselves! Oh no, they're donating it to their favorite library VP candidate. Will it be the oh-so-fancy Fancy Nancy, the delightfully grumpy Grinch, the persistent Pigeon, or the cool cat himself, Pete? The suspense is killing me!
But wait, there's more! On September 17th, which happens to be Voter Registration Day (how cool is that?), our little citizens will get their very own voter registration cards. They'll strut into a mini-voting booth like the big kids they are and cast their votes for their favorite book character. And because we're all about the red, white, and blue, we've got some star-spangled games planned too! It's like a patriotic party mixed with a dash of democracy and a sprinkle of generosity. We're talking civic duty with a cherry on top! So, gather your quarters, dimes, and dollars, and let's show these kiddos how to make a difference while having a blast. Who knows? We might just be grooming the next president – or at least the next library VP!
