Story

The Junior League of Greater Orlando (JLGO) is an organization of women who come together to positively impact the lives of women and children in the Central Florida community every day. We seek to be catalysts for lasting community change by empowering trained volunteers to enhance the lives of children and families. Together, we give our time, skills and goodwill to those in need.

The annual Women Who Give Campaign directly supports our mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the Greater Orlando community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Gifts to the Junior League of Greater Orlando make an impact on the lives of women and our community.

During the month of November, JLGO members and supporters are encouraged to make an online contribution to our annual Women Who Give Campaign and then share the reasons they give on social media using the hashtags #WomenWhoGive and #JLGO.

Gifts of every size are meaningful and valued; contributions support mission driven programs and member-focused leadership training like:

  • Our support for other community organizations through our Community Action Team
  • Our HIP Kids Events program at the Rock Neighborhood Center
  • Our MAGIC program for young women at the Juvenile Detention Center
  • Our advocacy and initiatives at the local and state level
