"I had to humble myself so that God could work in me."--Favio

Many days, Favio and his wife, Suni, did not know where their next meal would come from. Burdened by mounting debt for surgeries and scarce work, they felt defeated and alone. That changed when they joined our Family Preservation program through their local church. They found community and saw God in action. When Favio and Suni attended our entrepreneurship trainings, they realized they could provide for their family with their own business selling cleaning supplies. We see transformation when Family Life Missions, the local church, and our US partners work together.

"I didn't know my ideas with entrepreneurship were valuable," Favio told us. "God is working in our lives."

Their journey went from hopeless to hopeful.

That is their story—and the story of the 116 families in our Family Preservation Program receiving a "hand up" instead of a "hand out" through training, workshops, home renovations, and godly support. When families connect with God through their local church with help from FLM, their lives change. They see God working. They feel hope.

When US mission teams helped renovate their home through our Building Dreams program, Suni said her faith in God grew stronger. "It moved my emotions, and I feel more committed to God and closer to him."
