People to People’s annual Lent Almsgiving fundraiser will benefit Joppa in Des Moines. Joppa’s mission is to create communities of unconditional love, support, and hope for people experiencing homelessness while working together to prevent and ultimately end homelessness.

Students are encouraged to donate $5 in their theology classes during Lent to help us achieve our donation goal of $6225. Why Alms? Almsgiving during Lent shows love for those in need, helps us let go of material things, and turns our faith into action following Jesus’ example.
