Journeys Way: Support Stability & Hope
Why Your Support Matters
Family hardship is not rare, and the need is growing. On a single night in 2024, nearly 150,000 children experienced homelessness in the United States, and homelessness among people in families with children increased 39% from 2023 to 2024.
Domestic violence continues to affect millions of people. The CDC says more than 1 in 3 women and about 1 in 3 menexperience contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime, and approximately 1 in 10 men experience those harms with related impacts such as fear, safety concerns, or PTSD symptoms.
Basic necessities are also out of reach for many families. The National Diaper Bank Network reports that 1 in 2 U.S. families with young children cannot afford enough diapers, and it notes that SNAP and WIC do not cover diapers.
Behavioral health needs often overlap with other crises. SAMHSA reported that in 2023, 6.8 million adults had both a serious mental illness and a substance use disorder in the past year.
These realities are exactly why Journeys Way matters. Your support helps us respond with trauma-informed care, practical assistance, and hope for individuals and families facing housing instability, domestic violence, financial hardship, and other life challenges.
