Guests will have access to the museums exhibit Changing the Face of Democracy: Shirley Chisholm at 100. To commemorate the centennial of the birth of Shirley Chisholm (1924–2005), the Museum of the City of New York and the Shirley Chisholm Project at Brooklyn College present the first major museum exhibition on the life and legacy of this pathbreaking politician and New Yorker.

Emmy Award winning journalist Lauren Glassberg will join us again this year as our host!

Lauren Glassberg is an Emmy-award winning journalist who has been a member of the Eyewitness News Team since 2000. She covers breaking news, politics and features. She is also a frequent weekday anchor. Before coming to WABC TV, she anchored and reported at stations in Akron, Little Rock and Minneapolis. She actually got her start in journalism as a teenager, reporting for the Main Street Wire, the newspaper on Roosevelt Island, NY. It was always her dream to cover her hometown of New York City. Lauren is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She lives in Manhattan with her 9-year-old son.

Singer Jayla Kai will be performing at the event!

After releasing her debut EP Epitome in 2021, Jayla released The Short Song Project in 2023, approaching songs as compressed seeds with textural hooks packed tightly inside. She is currently playing shows, recording, writing and living the experiences that will form her next project.
