Welcome to the 4th annual Rock Roulette, benefitting We Rock Charlotte!

We Rock Charlotte started in 2014, as Girls Rock Charlotte. We have always been a space for girls and gender diverse youth to find their voices through music. In 2022, we made the switch to We Rock Charlotte and opened our programming to all gender identities and added more adult programming. We aim to uplift marginalized voices and create allies in our community to create equitable space for all musicians.

We Rock Charlotte is a local nonprofit, connected to other rock camps through the Girls Rock Camp Alliance. And while we're connected to camps all around the world - we are very much a Charlotte organization, tailoring our programming to the needs of our community.

What makes We Rock Charlotte special is the safe space we create for our youth and adults. A place to be yourself! A place to be vulnerable in sharing your art! This safety is created by the space we occupy and the people who facilitate our programming. Donating to We Rock Charlotte ensures we have the places and the people to continue our mission to empower allies and advocates through music and arts.

What is Rock Roulette?

On November 2, ~20 musicians came together and through talking and icebreakers, these musicians put themselves into different bands, scheduled 4 practices and figured out 3 songs to play. All month these bands will be practicing to prepare for Battle of the Bands on Saturday, December 6 @ Free Range Brewing in NODA.

We’re handing out FOUR awards this year:
🥇 Top Fundraiser – 1st Place
🥈 Top Fundraiser – 2nd Place
🥉 Top Fundraiser – 3rd Place
🎤 Best Band – Band with the loudest crowd wins!
