Tennessee Innocence Project receives no funding from the national Innocence Project or any other innocence organization and – as an independent non-profit – must raise funds to continue our valuable work. Our clients are represented at no charge, and we spare no expense when someone’s life is on the line. To right even one wrongful conviction requires many people working together; however, there is no partner as important as YOU.

Now in our sixth year, we received and processed over 600 applications from incarcerated people across Tennessee, and successfully exonerated nine individuals, who collectively served nearly 250 years behind bars.
