For most musicians, this is only a dream. For the Joliet West Symphonic Band, it will soon be reality. On April 15, 2026, the Joliet West Symphonic Band will perform a special concert on Orchestra Hall stage at Symphony Center in Chicago!

Symphony Center is one of the greatest concert halls in the world. For our students, performing here is more than a performance - it’s a chance to represent Joliet, to stand on the same stage as world-class musicians, and to carry forward a tradition of excellence that stretches back generations.

If you were ever in band at Joliet West, you know what that moment feels like: the pride of wearing the uniform, the friendships built in rehearsal, and the joy of making music that lasts a lifetime. This April, our students will feel that same pride — and you can help them get there.

What Students Are Already Doing

Our band families and students are already hard at work raising funds through:

Various fundraisers such as Cookie Dough and Fannie May Chocolates
50/50 Raffles at home football games
Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

But with travel, rehearsal hall rental, and related expenses, we need to raise an additional $6,000. The school strongly supports us, but this is beyond the normal budget - and your support ensures no student misses out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

About the Band

Joliet West students are more than musicians. They’re athletes, honor students, leaders, and neighbors who give back through dozens of community performances each year. Yes, our Symphonic Band has been recognized at state and national levels — but what matters most is how these kids carry Joliet’s pride with them every time they step on stage.

4 tickets + your name featured on a “Legacy of Support” banner in the band room.

6 tickets + invitation to a pre-concert reception at Joliet West.

8 tickets + Legacy Donor perks plus special recognition at the Spring Concert and a framed photo of the Symphonic Band at Symphony Center, signed by the students.

Challenge Incentives

🎵 Halfway There (50%) – Students choose a piece for the directors to sight-read at rehearsal.
🎵 Three-Quarters (75%) – The band records the Joliet West Fight song in an exclusive video, just for donors!
🎵 Full Goal (100%) – Director Swap: Mr. Wellman and Ms. Bauman step out of the podium and into the ensemble at the Spring Concert, performing side-by-side with the students.
