Judith "Judy" Davis was deeply passionate about animals and their wellbeing. Judy was a founding member of the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA, and a member of the SPCA's original Board of Directors, elected in June 1974. Without the instrumental efforts of Judy and her mother, Lottie Davis, the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA we know and support today might never have become a part of our community and a leader in animal welfare for Virginia.
On August 7, 2019, Judy passed away at age 70. This endowment fund, established by friends and family in 2020, commemorates Judy's compassionate care and love for animals and tireless advocacy for their welfare. Gifts to this fund, in memory of her profound legacy, directly support the SPCA, specifically the spay/neuter fund.
