The Lake Charles Juneteenth Freedom Festival is an annual, multi-day celebration.  Established in 2018, the festival commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrates African American culture and heritage. Through a variety of events—including parades, concerts, health screenings, educational activities, and family-friendly entertainment—the festival aims to promote unity, cultural awareness, and community engagement within Southwest Louisiana. Proceeds from the festival support scholarships for students pursuing healthcare careers, furthering the organization's commitment to education and community development
