JUST Capital was co-founded in 2013 by a group of concerned people from the world of business, finance, and civil society – including Paul Tudor Jones II, Deepak Chopra, Rinaldo Brutoco, Arianna Huffington, Paul Scialla, Alan Fleischmann, and others. By establishing the organization as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) registered charity, the founders ensured that JUST Capital would be exclusively geared toward achieving its mission.

To achieve our mission we:

Poll the Public: The core of our work is a robust survey research program that elevates the voice of the public by polling Americans on the issues they care about most and believe companies should prioritize regarding just business behavior today. To date, we’ve polled more than 110,000 Americans.

Analyze Companies: We define metrics that map to the priorities of the public and use a robust, unbiased methodology to track and analyze the largest, publicly traded U.S. companies across five stakeholder groups, 19 core Issues, and more than 330 data points.

Drive Change: We produce research, Rankings, data-driven insights, and programmatic initiatives to help corporations adopt more just business practices – from advancing racial equity in the workplace to supporting local communities – that advance a stakeholder model of capitalism.

Power Investments: We build the business case for just business behavior by driving capital toward more just companies through the creation of investment products, thought leadership, investable indexes, and data licensing.
