what is JusticeAccess? and why is our work important?

JusticeAccess is a law library unlike any other. Our differences are these:

We are focused entirely on serving people who are not lawyers, not law students, not court staff. We serve the people who know the least about the law and have the greatest level of need.
We are focused on reference, not on books. We believe there is a difference between access to the law and access to justice, and provide assistance to bridge the gap between the two.
We go to our patrons. One of our primary programs is monthly visits to public libraries where we talk to community members about their legal questions and about issues that they may not realize are legal in nature.
