Hi, I'm Salima. I'm a mom of twins on the autism spectrum, a published author, and the founder of the Just Like Me series. I created this mission because families like mine deserve more than diagnosis codes—we deserve safety, dignity, and stories where our children shine.

This campaign does two powerful things:
✅ Print inclusive children’s books that center neurodivergent, Black, and disabled children
✅ Raise funds to build our first sensory-safe home for a family like ours

Our Books Are Our Voice

We use our lived experience to publish books like:
- Potty Party! (for autistic toddlers)
- Autism, Epilepsy & Me (a family’s real-life view of seizures and sensory needs)
- Mommy’s New Wig (exploring illness with joy and truth)

Each book is $13 to print and ship, and includes QR-read-along audio for accessibility.

Our Homes Are Their Peace

We're raising $130,000 by August 13 (our twins’ birthday 🎉) to build the first of many autism-centered, sensory-safe homes through the Alani Jacob Foundation.
