Our Just One Cup fundraiser helps provide the things you and I take for granted. For just $5/month or $60/year, SAN can provide community members with: 2 monthly bus passes or Food pantry for 4 households or a replacement cell phone. These are just a couple examples of what your support can provide.

$5 can buy a fancy cup of coffee or it can help one of our HIV community members be the best they can be!

SAN Past:

SAN began as an informal network of friends, medical caregivers, and concerned citizens in 1985. Dr. Jeff Collins, Dr. Dan Coulston, and Tom Crowe of the Spokane County Health District met to discuss creating an AIDS support group which would include Community Mental Health, Department of Social and Health Services, members of the gay community, and other volunteers to coordinate services for people with AIDS.

SAN Present:

SAN remains focused on maintaining the organization’s legacy by remaining a visible partner to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS in Spokane. SAN works in close partnership with community stakeholders to serve as a bridge for resources for people living with and impacted by HIV/AIDS.

This past year’s focus is on helping our community get back to ‘normal’ and creating more opportunities for events and safe spaces for people impacted by HIV/AIDS to gather, build community, raise awareness and fight stigma in Spokane.

During COVID, SAN has provided pantry bags to over 200 families per month through our weekly pantry program.

SAN Future:

We rely on community support to continue providing our programs. With our your support, SAN will not be able to provide these essential services and support to the community!
