TERMS & DETAILS
Each $250 donation designated for the Connect with KANEKO drawing will entitle the donor to one “ticket” for entry in the drawing. There is no limit to the number of entry donations you can make. Each entry ticket is a chance to win.
Two winners and one “alternate” will be drawn at random from all entries received before midnight on December 31, 2023.
The drawing will be held on January 1, 2024.
The first winner drawn will have first choice of artwork from the two pieces:
Viajar por Agua, 2021, by Therman Statom
or
Untitled, Dango, 2022, by Jun Kaneko
The Connect with KANEKO Committee (the Committee) will make the first contact attempt to the first winner drawn on January 1, 2024. If the first winner drawn does not respond or cannot be reached within 48 hours of the first contact attempt, the first choice of artwork will then be offered to the second winner drawn. If the second winner does not respond or cannot be reached within 48 hours of the Committee’s first attempt to contact them, the first winner to respond to the Committee before 5 PM CT on January 8, 2024 will receive first choice of artwork. If either of the first two winners cannot be reached by 5PM CT on January 8, 2024, their prize will be forfeit and offered to the “alternate” winner.
The winner may purchase the artwork at any time in 2024. The Committee will share pricing information for artworks with the winners upon request.
Results of the drawing will be publicly announced by KANEKO by January 15th, 2024.
Winners may request their full names be kept private from KANEKO’s public announcements and drawing-related media.
For the safety of people and artworks, the Committee must approve the installation location.
Winners will work with the Committee to schedule installation dates in 2024. Works must be purchased or deinstalled by January 15, 2025.
The Committee will arrange and cover the costs of insurance, installation, and deinstallation of the artwork.
Private residences or business locations anywhere in the continental United States are eligible for artwork installation. However, for locations more than a 200-mile road travel distance from Omaha, the winner will be responsible for ground transportation costs, which may include driver mileage fee, per diem, and/or lodging costs. Winners outside the 200-mile road travel distance will be provided an estimate of these costs by the Committee. If the winner does not approve the estimate, they may choose an alternate installation location within the 200-mile road travel distance of Omaha, with written approval of the property owner at the alternate installation site.
Winners may also decline the artwork installation portion of the prize, and still enjoy the other prize benefits (meet-and-greet events, KANEKO membership, etc.)
