"For one to fly, one needs only to take the reins," grooming brush, or first step toward a horse (Melissa James). At Harnessing Hope, our participants get to fly every time they take the opportunity to spend time with their four-legged friends. They fly when their confidence grows, when their two and four legged friends make them feel loved, when they find success in new tasks, when they show care toward themselves and others, and more. And contributions toward our mission help this flight occur. Contributions will be used to make accessibility and program area improvements, continue a high level of equine care, eliminate financial barriers to our participants and allow us to say our favorite words.... "YES! We can serve you!".
If you've ever followed our program, received services or just like what we do... this is your time to help us make every ride count!
Recently, our auxiliary shelter was destroyed in the storms that came through central Indiana. We are currently fundraising to replace this much needed respite from the sun or rain in the field for our horses. Our herd of Therapy Horses live outside, as natural as possible, as a happy heard. We attribute this living environment to how healthy and relaxed our horses are as willing partners for our participants. An adequate and protective structure is necessary in the open fields to provide protection and shelter that the horses can freely choose!
