Pastor Hope Butayi is the founder and administrator of Kashogi Progressive Nursery & Primary School in rural Uganda. She began the school after recognizing a heartbreaking reality: many children in her community had no access to education beyond Sunday school.

What started as a calling quickly became a sacrifice.

Pastor Hope gave up her business, her property, and much of her personal belongings to ensure these children could learn. Today, 116 students receive quality education and daily meals through the school - including 30 children who live on campus because they are orphaned or come from extremely vulnerable circumstances.

Friends and long-time supporters established Kashogi Children’s Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to provide the funding necessary to sustain and grow this life-changing work. Donations directly support teacher salaries, meals, beds, educational materials, and critical building expenses.

The school’s former facility is no longer accessible. Construction is now underway on land Pastor Hope was able to purchase through generous donations. Owning the land eliminates costly lease payments and secures the school’s future - but the new classroom building and dormitory remain unfinished.

The need is urgent.

Every completed classroom means more children learning to read.
Every finished dormitory bed means a child sleeping safely.
Every meal served means a student able to focus and thrive.

Education breaks cycles of poverty. Stability restores dignity. Community creates opportunity.
