Fresh food from the garden or farm and experiencing nature are two passions of mine. From my first urban garden plot to my early career as a trained chef and now CEI Women's Business Center advisor and Downeast homesteader, I have been grateful for access to fresh veggies throughout my life. When we moved to Milbridge, Maine, WHRL and Incredible Edible were just getting launched. I couldn't have picked a better spot since it has allowed me to work and live in a community that cares for the health and well-being of its members. I enjoy sharing my life in Maine with my husband and two cats, determined to grow our garden (despite the many rocks in Maine!), and taking in nature, whether paddling, walking or biking.

What Excites Me About This Hike:
Katahdin has been on my bucket list. I've hiked some of the AT in Vermont, some of the Presidentials in NH, and out west in the New Mexican mountains. The anticipated views, the challenge, and the accomplishment are all causes for personal excitement. The fact that my outdoor enjoyment can inspire others to support Incredible Edible Milbridge is the cherry on top! I have appreciated IEM in my life and am proud that it is an important part of our community. Anything I can do to ensure that others have fresh food access, enjoy the gardens, and learn skills in a welcoming, bilingual, family-friendly atmosphere is a no-brainer. Attaining a personal goal while helping IEM to thrive and grow for the pleasure of ALL is an opportunity for which I'm very grateful.
Homemade gorp, especially with interesting dried fruits and nuts!
