Over the weekend, a tragic bus accident occurred in Arusha, Tanzania which resulted in the loss of several lives. A group of missionaries were traveling back from an outreach when they were hit by a truck with faulty brakes. At this point, 11 YWAM-affiliated individuals have passed and many more are in critical condition. We are heartbroken to learn that Vincent Kazungu, a husband and father of two, has passed away.

Vincent and his family first welcomed us to YWAM more than 10 years ago. During one of our first few trips to Tanzania, our plans had fallen through, and we had no where to go. We frantically emailed any ministry we could find in the Arusha region. By the grace of God, Vincent answered our email in less than 24 hours and picked us up from the airport. His family welcomed us into their homes and little did we know, the start of our relationship with YWAM Arusha was just beginning.

Vincent was a man full of joy, light, and courage. It is a devastating loss here on earth, and our hearts grieve for his wife, children, and the entire YWAM Arusha community. Any of the funds contributed to this campaign will go directly to Vincent’s wife, Mary, to help with funeral costs and whatever the family needs.
