As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible support that our community has shown to Family Promise Mat-Su. Together, we have made a profound difference in the lives of homeless and low-income families, helping them take the critical steps toward achieving sustainable independence.

In 2024, we were honored to serve 18 families, providing shelter, support, and a safe space to heal. Thanks to the unwavering generosity of people like you, 82% of those families have moved on to stable housing, secured sustainable employment, and formed lasting connections with their community. These successes are not just numbers—they represent real lives transformed, with parents and children building a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

However, the journey doesn’t end when a family leaves our shelter. One of the most significant barriers to permanent housing is the cost of securing an apartment. For many families, paying first month's rent is a challenge that stands in the way of their fresh start.

This year, we are launching a First Month’s Rent Fund to help cover this critical gap for our shelter graduates. By contributing to this fund, you’ll help ensure that every family we serve has the resources they need to move into a home and continue their journey toward independence.
