In September 2015, I was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor and told I might not survive the night. When a nurse asked if I needed anything, I asked for a dog. A small therapy dog arrived. I wrapped my arms around him — and felt peace in a moment that felt impossible.

I made a promise that night: If I survived, I would spend my life paying that gift forward. Spirit Cove was born from that promise.

Today, our volunteer therapy teams serve hospitals, schools, veterans, first responders, disaster survivors, and communities in crisis across the country.

In 2025 alone:
• 63,855 individuals were supported • 1,421 therapy visits were delivered • 48 dedicated therapy dog teams served nationwide

Since our founding: • 267,753 lives have been touched • 76,910 community heroes have received support
