Honoring 60 Years of Heart and Hope: A Tribute to Kent Pafford

Sixty years ago, the world gained a visionary with a heart as big as his dreams. And sixteen years ago this very week, that same man—our founder, Kent Pafford—stepped into an overcrowded shelter and changed everything with three powerful words: "I see you."

Those words weren’t just for the scared, forgotten dogs in that shelter—they became the heartbeat of what would grow into Streetdog Foundation. Through compassion, grit, and relentless love, Kent has saved and transformed the lives of thousands of dogs (and people) across Memphis and beyond.

This August, as Kent celebrates his 60th birthday, we’re inviting our community to celebrate with us in the most meaningful way: by donating in his honor.
