For the past four years, the Kent Rugby Foundation has hosted the Annual Alumni Golf Outing as a fundraising event for the Kent State Rugby Club. Both the men's and women's clubs are self funded organizations and each club is responsible for generating funds to pay referees, rent facility spaces, purchase new equipment, etc. Proceeds from this event go directly to each club to help alleviate the costs and player fees incurred each season.

About the foundation:

The Kent Rugby Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting the game of rugby throughout the state of Ohio. The Kent Rugby Foundation is its own entity and is not directly affiliated with any other school, business, or organization. Through fundraising events and donations from our supporters, we are not only capable of supporting our home clubs, but also rugby clubs at the youth, high school, and collegiate level. We are rugby players; past and present. We know the struggles each club faces year after year. Our goal is to lessen those struggles, and help increase visibility of the sport we love. Furthering our cause is the most important goal of our organization. We seek to support, empower, and provide high-quality resources to our community to help grow the game of rugby. Our success isn’t measured in terms of wealth or profit margin, but by the value we provide to those we serve.
