This coming March I will be embarking on a new experience by running in the Jerusalem Marathon. I am doing this to raise much needed funds for Kol Hanearim, an incredible organization for at risk kids ranging from ages 8-18. KH recruits volunteers from across North America to work at 8 different children's homes throughout Israel. The children's home where I was privelged to volunteer at was called Achuzat Sarah, which is located in Bnei Brak. The children and teenagers in these various homes are victims of sexual, verbal, and/or emotional abuse. They come from all walks of life and religious observance. Most come from homes that are under tremendous financial constraints and have little hope for the future. I experienced the amazing work of KH firsthand. In just a few short weeks, we were able to help change the lives of these special people. I learned so much from them and Baruch Hashem I am able to give them ongoing emotional support because I have been afforded opportunities of a loving and caring childhood from my family, something which these children were robbed of. I learned so much from these kids and I am privileged to be able to give them friendship and guidance. I ask you to please partner and help support this worthy tzedaka cause by donating generously. Thank you so much, and tizku limitzvaot!
